Christmas

I am the traditional type. So much so that I frown upon the politically correct more often than I would likely admit to in public.

This is a special time of year! Why?...CHRISTMAS!!! Not "The Holidays" or "Winter Break" or "Season Mumbo Jumbo."


So I tell you all, unabashedly, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Amazing Architectural Vintage

So, I admit it...I have always loved form over function. Try as I might, I cannot choose practical over pretty.
I am a self-proclaimed collector of beautiful things (see profile). It is only natural that I would collect beautiful things that cannot be used, as well as beautiful things that can!

Tough as it is, I am trying to part with some of my dearly beloved architectural salvage. I don't have room for it and cannot use it.

Fortunately my Etsy shop, belovedbaglady.etsy.com makes it easy to offer these lovely things to people who just might admire then AND use them!

Wanderings

I recently took a trip with my husband. It was so wonderful to get away...to escape, to relax and see new things.

And of course to shop! Wandering the brick sidewalks of Savannah and following the muted sounds of street musicians in New Orleans was bliss.

Here are some of the treasures I brought home from two of the most romantic (and historic) American cities in which to find vintage things! My only problem...not enough spare luggage space.

For now, enjoy being cold.

Where I live, it gets hot- VERY hot. Lately though, at least in the morning, I am enjoying the cold.
I am much more appreciative of my morning cup of coffee than I was a month ago, even a week ago. It's no longer just a necessary (headache preventative) part of my routine, but much more of a treat! This morning, I was invited to a ladies' brunch...a lovely spread that included mimosas.

Ooh, who starts a Monday with mamosas?! Well, I for one, was content with coffee; nice, warm and sweet.
